Today is all about a fun A2 Card Layout Die Set! One die – so many options: play with dimensions, create shaker layouts, use either the outside frame or the inner frames!
Well, today I decided to come with something different and set aside my coloring media! Instead, I got a little crazy playing with a fun cupcake layout stencil set. I filled in every single area one by one with Distress inks. I used the tiny round blending brushes to help myself with the blending of the tiny openings on the stencils! And, yes, it was fun!!!
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Trim another A2 size rectangle from the same Neenah Solar White paper for the background.
- Secure layer #1 of Cupcakes Stencil Set on the background with a lock tack tape to prevent any movement and ink every single element with a different color of Distress inks, helping yourself with a tiny round blending brushes. Here’s the list of the colors that I used:
- Lift up the stencil and switch to layer #2 and then to layer #3 following the same steps.
- Die cut the inked background with A2 Card Layout Die Set, using Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Stamp the sentiment from Birthday Essentials Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Fussy cut the sentiment with the sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Finish with some white half pearls from Trinity Stamps Vintage Lace Embellishment Mix adheres with Bearly Art – Precision Craft Glue.
