Hello and welcome!
I’m so excited to share with you some cards that I created for the Purple Onion Designs new summer release! The stunning new “Charmed By The Sea” collection of rubber stamps is designed by Stacey Yacula and includes a lot of adorable sea and summer themed illustrations that will suit everybody’s taste!
To start, I created a CAS card with a rainbow twist that features the most fabulous Cabana Row Stamp. Aren’t those small beach houses so darn cute?!

- Stamp on Neenah Solar White paper Cabana Row stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Designer’s Tip:
Since rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs come unmounted, you will need a temporary mounting solution to work with. A Clear Mounting Stamp is one of the options. You can apply this clear stamp on an acrylic block or acrylic stamping platform to hold your unmounted stamps in place while stamping. Remove and store it when finished until next time. The clear stamp can be cleaned with water and a little liquid soap.
- Fussy cut all the stamps with the sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around.
- Color all the elements with COPIC MARKERS. I used:
- pink RV000-RV00-RV10-RV13
- orange YR0000-YR00-YR02-YR04
- yellow Y0000-Y00-Y15
- green YG0000-YG01-YG05-YG09
- blue B0000-B00-B01-B04
- windows BG10-BG11
- flags R02-R05
- brown E30-E31-E34
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board on my card.
- Trim a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of striped pattern paper from Sunny Studio Stamps Subtle Grey Tones paper pad.
- Trim another smaller panel from Neenah Solar White paper.
- Stamp the sentiment from Seaside Sentiment Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front, by popping some of them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
- Finish with a generous coat of a clear glitter pen and some clear sparkling sequins.
