Today the Design Team and I are focusing on amazing booked themed products! To start, I created a card that features the most gorgeous Never Enough Books Stamp Set that comes with the coordinating Never Enough Books Die Set! This stamp set can be used on its own or paired with wonderful new Bookmark II Die Set!
Today I got a little creative and gave a personalized twist to the Never Enough Books Stamp Set! I split apart the book shelves that originally were designed for a bookmark and reallocated them in a window frame! Then I came out four different designs, playing with the dies from Bookmark II Die Set! It was so much fun putting together all those colorful die cut books!
Key Ingredients:
- Never Enough Books Stamp Set
- Never Enough Books Die Set
- Frames and Tags Die Set
- Frames & Flags Die Set
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut all the elements you need from Neenah Solar White paper, using the coordinating Never Enough Books Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Save the negative parts of the dies.
- Stamp the outline illustrations from Never Enough Books Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the negative parts of the dies as a guide for a perfect alignment inside the stamping positioning tool.
- Color the stamps with COPIC MARKERS. I used on this card:
- light pink RV0000-RV000-RV10-RV02
- pink/red RV21-RV23-RV25-RV29
- orange YR0000-YR00-YR01-YR02
- yellow Y0000-Y13-Y19
- green YG11-G40-G43-G46
- blue B0000-B00-B02-B04-B34
- violet V0000-V000-V01-V04-V06
- gray C00-C3
- brown E40-E42-E43-E44
- Trim and score an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer and Mini Score Board.
- Die cut a window frame from the same Neenah Solar White paper with Frames and Tags Die Set.
- Inked the inner panels of the window frame with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Use the blending brushes to achieve a soft and smooth result.
- Splatter the inked pieces with some tiny droplets of a pearlescent solution.
- Die cut a fish-tail banner from a dark gray cardstock with Frames & Flags Die Set.
- Heat emboss in white on gray the sentiment with VersaMark clear sticky ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Don’t forget to prep the paper with a Powder Tool Applicator to prevent the embossing powder to stick where you don’t want it!
- Arrange and glue in place all the elements on the card front by popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
- Finish with a few highlights added with a white gel pen and a couple of clear sparkling sequins adhered with Bearly Art – Precision Craft Glue.
Key Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Die cut the bookmark bases from Neenah Solar White paper, using Bookmark II Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine or Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
- Secure Cascading Stars Stencil or Bubbly Stencil on the bookmark with a lock tack tape to prevent any movement and ink the pattern with Black Soot Distress ink.
- Die cut a bunch of books from colorful cardstock. I used Concord and 9th – Assorted Color Pack.
- Arrange the books on the bookmark bases and glue in place with a liquid glue that dries clear and matte like my current favorite Bearly Art – Precision Craft Glue.
- Wrap a twine around the hole.
